Cheers
So I have reached the halfway point- and that is sad. This summer has absolutley flown by and I will be sad to see the end come close. I have been having the time of my life and I'm not ready to give it up. On set I have become somewhat part of the team. I am treated like just another worker who has been there forever and I get to work just like it was my real job. My responsibilities are real - and the pressure is there. The past week we were on the stage- as we will be this week - and there I get to learn alot about the other departments because we have enough help around set for me to wander off and do my own thing. I got to meet Cherry Jones the other day and she is amazing. After filming on Thursday we even got to share a drink with here- which is exceptionally cool for me. It was like drinking w/ the President. Ha! Otherwise, things are going wonderfully. I got to be the subject of a special effects make-up test last week- that was insane! For about an hour I got all gooed up and I was then paraded around in front of the writers, producers, and directors for the yes or no. After a few small tweeks everyone was happy and I got to un-glue my face. It was something that I will never forget. Like always everyone has been amazing and ready to lend a hand. This week I will be spending more time with props and learning about their world. I got a small taste when the prop team let me wander around the prop cage. 8 years of 24 in the making- it was like a dream almost. Seeing the canisters that Bierko used in the 5th season, or Agent Aaron Pierce's ear pieces- it was so much fun to just look around and remember everything. Back on the stages this week - with one day on location I think - but another week of fun I'm sure! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday- but now back to the grind- which I'm 100% O.K. with!
